STATEMENT
Statements of my Works: The interpretation of my works is the interpretation of my philosophy of life and reality. The Art that I have been pursuing as well as the perception of my Artworks basically represents the different phases of human life and its destination. Through my art, I want to convey human emotions like tragedy, ecstasy, doom etc. My attempt is to showcase the ripples of human surroundings in the contemporary society with astounding reflection of the battle for surviving. My works are thus inspired by the true episodes of human lives and blending of inner-conflicts that can be observed by every suffering person. I just try to carve out a vivid range of views, emotions and obstacles, lying stressed within my mind the journey of life. I specify my journey of self-introspection with each works. The sentiments, pathos, anger, happiness of the human beings have always encouraged/inspired me to do artworks. It is always been very interesting to create three dimensional visual images in terms of the above feelings. My works have always been the fusion of the conscious and the sub-conscious selves. Most of the works I have been associated with, are based on the three-dimensional visual images derived from the repressed complexes of sub-conscious. In my early stage, I have tried to deal with the images of helplessness, sufferings, sick & destitute people of the society. In the beginning, I struggle to grasp the 'image' and later, I try to represent it in the form of a sculpture. The form I choose to communicate is basically figurative as I place myself in the context of Indian art form. In case of the materials, I have always tried to select the proper material for the proper object. Because, material in general, has the fantastic ability to carry forward thoughts and feelings. I like to do experiments on material also. Now-a-days I have been exploring with Glass material as a medium of representation. Sculptures do not tell a story, nor do they depict sagas. Subsequently, I tried to comprehend the images of objects first as drawings and then as sculptures. This is directly brought forth from my early and recent memories. And I feel, this is a gainful exercise in the life of any artist like me.
